Guide For Authors

1. General Information

Medivara Journal of Applied Engineering Sciences welcomes original research articles, review articles, and case studies in the field of applied engineering sciences and related interdisciplinary areas. Manuscripts must be original, not previously published, and not under consideration in other journals.

Authors are expected to follow ethical standards of scientific publication, including proper citation, avoidance of plagiarism, and transparency in research reporting.

 

2. Manuscript Language

Manuscripts must be written in clear and correct English. Authors are responsible for ensuring linguistic accuracy before submission.

 

3. Manuscript Structure

The manuscript should be arranged in the following order:

  • Title (concise and informative) 
  • Author(s) Name(s) 
  • Affiliation(s) 
  • Corresponding Author Email 
  • Abstract (150–250 words) 
  • Keywords (3–6 keywords) 
  • Introduction 
  • Methods 
  • Results and Discussion 
  • Conclusion 
  • Acknowledgments (if any) 
  • References 

 

4. Formatting Guidelines

  • Paper size: A4 
  • Font: Times New Roman 
  • Font size: 12 pt (main text) 
  • Spacing: 1.5 
  • Margin: 2.5 cm (all sides) 
  • Maximum length: 10–15 pages (including references) 
  • Use standard SI units 

 

5. Abstract and Keywords

The abstract must briefly describe the background, objectives, methods, results, and conclusion of the study. Avoid citations in the abstract. Keywords should represent the main topics of the manuscript.

 

6. Figures and Tables

  • Figures and tables must be clear and numbered sequentially 
  • Titles should be placed above tables and below figures 
  • High-resolution images are required 
  • All figures and tables must be cited in the text 

 

7. Citation and References

References must follow a consistent style (recommended: IEEE Reference Style). In IEEE style, references are numbered in the order of appearance in the text and listed sequentially at the end of the manuscript. Each citation in the text should appear as a number in square brackets (e.g., [1]).

Authors are responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and correct formatting of all references.

Example Format:

  • Journal Article:

  • Book:
    [2] A. A. Author, Title of Book, xth ed. City, Country: Publisher, Year.

Citation Rules:

  • References are numbered according to the order of appearance in the text 
  • Journal titles should be italicized and properly abbreviated when applicable 
  • All authors should be listed if ≤6; if >6 authors, list first author followed by et al. 
  • Use abbreviated month formats (Jan., Feb., Mar., etc.) where required 
  • DOI should be included when available 

Minimum References Requirement:

Manuscripts should include 15–25 references, preferably from recent scholarly sources published within the last 5–10 years, especially from peer-reviewed journals.

8. Submission Proces

Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s online submission system (OJS). Authors must register and follow all submission steps carefully, including metadata entry and file upload.

9. Review Process

All submitted manuscripts will undergo a double-blind peer review process. The editorial decision is based on reviewer recommendations and journal quality standards.

 

10. Ethical Requirements

Authors must ensure:

  • Originality of work 
  • Proper citation of sources 
  • No plagiarism or duplicate submission 
  • Disclosure of conflicts of interest (if any) 
  • Ethical approval for research involving humans/animals 

11. Publication Charges

Any applicable Article Processing Charges (APC), if implemented, will be clearly stated on the journal website prior to submission. No hidden fees will be applied.

12. Copyright Policy

Authors retain copyright of their work and grant the journal the right of first publication under an open-access license.
