Publication Ethics

Medivara Journal of Applied Engineering Sciences is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against publication malpractice. This statement is based on international ethical guidelines for scholarly publishing, including best practices recommended by COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics).

1. Duties of Editors

Editors are responsible for deciding which submitted manuscripts should be published based on the validity of the work, its importance to researchers and readers, and its alignment with the journal scope. Editors evaluate manuscripts without regard to race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy of the authors. All submissions are evaluated fairly and confidentially.

Editors and editorial staff must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, and publisher as appropriate.

2. Duties of Reviewers

Reviewers assist editors in making editorial decisions and may also assist authors in improving their manuscripts. Reviewers must treat all manuscripts as confidential documents. Reviews should be conducted objectively, and personal criticism of the author is inappropriate.

Reviewers should identify relevant published work not cited by the authors and report any similarity or overlap with other published works. They must also disclose any potential conflicts of interest and decline to review manuscripts where such conflicts exist.

3. Duties of Authors

Authors must ensure that their submitted work is original and free from plagiarism. Manuscripts should not be submitted to more than one journal simultaneously. Authors must appropriately cite all sources and acknowledge any financial support or contributions from others.

All listed authors must have made a significant contribution to the research. The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all co-authors have approved the final version of the manuscript and agree to its submission.

Authors must promptly notify the editor if they discover a significant error or inaccuracy in their published work and cooperate in correcting or retracting the article if necessary.

4. Plagiarism and Originality

MJAES has a strict policy against plagiarism in any form. All submitted manuscripts will be screened using plagiarism detection tools. Manuscripts with significant similarity to published works without proper citation will be rejected or retracted.

5. Conflict of Interest

All parties involved in the publication process must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could influence the interpretation or evaluation of the manuscript. These include financial, personal, or professional relationships.

6. Ethical Oversight

Research involving human participants, animals, or sensitive data must comply with relevant institutional and national ethical standards. Authors are required to include ethical approval statements when applicable.

7. Post-Publication Issues

MJAES is committed to maintaining the integrity of the scholarly record. In cases of misconduct, errors, or ethical violations, the journal will take appropriate actions, including corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions.
