Peer Review Process

Medivara Journal of Applied Engineering Sciences implements a rigorous double-blind peer review system to ensure the quality, originality, and scientific integrity of all published manuscripts. In this process, both authors and reviewers remain anonymous to each other to maintain objectivity and fairness.

1. Initial Manuscript Screening

All submitted manuscripts are first evaluated by the editorial team to assess their suitability for the journal scope, originality, formatting compliance, and basic scientific quality. Manuscripts that do not meet the minimum requirements may be rejected at this stage (desk rejection) without external review.

2. Plagiarism Check

Each manuscript is screened using plagiarism detection software to ensure originality. Manuscripts with high similarity indices or evidence of unethical writing practices will be rejected or returned to authors for revision.

3. Assignment to Reviewers

Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to at least two independent expert reviewers who have relevant expertise in the manuscript’s subject area.

4. Double-Blind Review

Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on:

  • Originality and novelty of the research
  • Methodological rigor and scientific validity
  • Clarity of presentation and structure
  • Relevance to the journal scope
  • Contribution to the field of applied engineering sciences

Reviewers provide constructive feedback and recommend one of the following decisions:

  • Accept
  • Minor revision
  • Major revision
  • Reject

5. Revision Process

If revisions are required, authors must respond to all reviewer comments in a structured response letter and submit a revised manuscript within the specified timeframe. Revised manuscripts may be re-evaluated by the original reviewers or the editorial team.

6. Final Decision

The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision on manuscript acceptance based on reviewer recommendations, revision quality, and editorial judgment.

7. Publication

Accepted manuscripts proceed to copyediting, layout editing, and final proofreading before publication in an online issue of the journal.

8. Publication Ethics Compliance

The peer review process follows international ethical standards, including COPE guidelines, to ensure transparency, fairness, and academic integrity throughout the review process.
